  • Use consistent formatting throughout your documents.
  • Cross-reference the job description and identify the desirable applicant traits. Ensure your documents showcase these traits and display keywords.

Numerical & Psychometric Assessment

Take advantage of completing practice tests on the SHL website to help you better navigate the tests.

The competencies that will be assessed are:

  1. Deductive and inductive reasoning: your ability to understand written information.
  2. Numerical reasoning: how you think using numbers.
  3. Personality: questions about how you behave in order to predict how you may act in a work situation.

Interview Tips

Competency-based Questions

  • Knowledge building: demonstrate your passion and motivation by undertaking further research about the nature of the role, our company and our industry. Showing an interest in what we do, why you’re applying for Aurora and what makes you suited for the role increases your chances of standing out.
  • General communication: provide structured answers to develop a clear and concise communication style.
  • Competencies: arrive to your interview armed with recent examples of a time that you have demonstrated the desirable applicant traits.

Case Study Questions

Our case study questions take the form of market-sizing questions.

  • Take a moment to digest the information.
  • Ask clarifying questions throughout. The interviewer wants to see your thought process and will prompt you when asked. Try to avoid becoming quiet.
  • Begin by breaking down the problem into the fundamental components. Segmenting the question and checking assumptions will create a structured process for finding an answer.
  • Think about what you are trying to show with your answer and provide reasoning behind each estimation. Answers do not need to be correct, but they are required to be justified.

We wish you all the best with your Graduate Program application and look forward to meeting you soon!
