I have completed around one year as an on-site environmental graduate on the WestConnex 3A and Western Harbour Tunnel projects. This involved a range of responsibilities, mainly in the environmental compliance space including: creating ERSED plans; conducting noise, vibration, water, and dust monitoring, completing regular inspections, interfacing with our client, the EPA, and other stakeholders; and for a large part developing a relationship with the Construction teams. This year I have moved into a new focus area and becoming office based, learning the ropes in Sustainability and developing my knowledge in environmental compliance. In the sustainability space, I collate the monitoring date for fuel and energy, water, waste, and materials across the entire Western Harbour Tunnel project. I am also assisting the team in putting together their ISC submissions and developing innovative initiatives. Under environment, I have assisted in the implementation of project management systems iTWOcx and Lucidity and participated in two significant audits.
