After submitting an application I was invited to do a one-way video interview. This consisted of a series of questions where you are given about 1 minute to prepare for a question and then record yourself answering it. The second stage of interviews was an introduction to Arcadis online in a zoom call, and then breakout rooms where you were assessed as a group. The final stage of the interviews involved an individual interview in the Arcadis office with HR and two senior team members.

For me, the hiring process involved application, recorded interviews, a group interview, and a one-on-one interview.
Intern, Melbourne - 30 Nov 2022
I first submitted a written online application, including CV and cover letter. The next step in the process was a recorded interview where I was provided a short amount of time to prepare a response based on a written question. It took a bit over a month until I was contacted to organise a zoom interview. The interview was relaxed and it felt as though they were trying to get to know me as a person and how I would fit in with the team as well as my qualifications.

Interview process was pretty simple. Applied, then had two interviews and was then hired, nothing to complicated
Graduate, Melbourne - 29 Nov 2022
I went through an automated interview process followed by a group interview which ran through a case study for my internship. For my graduate position, I was run through a one on one interview
Graduate, Sydney - 29 Nov 2022
My interview process was unusual as I had done work experience with someone from the leadership team, who then recommended me to the business leader. My formal interview was only a short teams call with the business leader. I have heard the normal process is more rigorous, involving a recording of yourself answering questions, a group interview, and a one-on-one interview.
Intern, Brisbane - 29 Nov 2022
1) General application (e.g. CV + cover letter) 2) Video/ recorded interview that is uploaded 3) Group (online) interview - worked through a project brief together as a group of around 10 and how we would deliver it to the 'client' 4) Individual (online) interview
Graduate, Melbourne - 29 Nov 2022
First was the online application, then the psychometric test and finally the interview.
Graduate, Melbourne - 29 Nov 2022
The interview process was long and the assessments was fun as we had to work as a group.
Graduate, Sydney - 29 Nov 2022
The interview process consisted of three stages - a video interview, a group interview and an individual interview with the team that Arcadis believes you would be best suited to (based on your passions and studies).

Video interview: A mix of questions about why you want to work for Arcadis, which Arcadis values you relate to and then personal scenario questions. Group online interview: you were given a city planning case study and asked to present a proposal on improving public transport Face to face interview: Quite casual, asking about what type of projects/work I am interested in, my experience, my interests
Graduate, Sydney - 01 Dec 2022
In the group interview, we were given a scenario and asked to work as a team to provide recommendations for the sustainable development of a fictional city. The exercise included transport and social planning considerations.

Do you have any specific tips and advice for candidates applying to your company? How would you recommend they best prepare?
I'd say to practice how to respond to questions using the STAR method which is Situation, Task, Action and Response in front of someone and treat like a proper interview as you normally would. Make sure to have set examples or scenarios you have experienced and see how you can tailor the situation to the question. Make sure you have a clean resume that's tidy, succinct and no more than 2 pages.
Graduate, Sydney - 09 Dec 2022
Be yourself and don't over think
Intern, Melbourne - 01 Dec 2022
Research the company and compare your own values to theirs, look up some of their recent projects
Graduate, Sydney - 01 Dec 2022
- Research the company and recent projects they have completed. Also get to know the company values and think of examples as to how your values align with theirs. - Have examples prepared of things you have worked on, whether it's from uni, volunteering, your current job that showcases skills that would be transferable to the position you are applying for. - Dress professionally even if the interview is being completed over zoom. - Be yourself. I know it's cliche but I felt that through my interview they were interested in getting to know me as a person and how well I would fit in with the team. Workplace culture is an important part of working at Arcadis.

Candidates should definitely dress appropriately (button-up business shirt, trousers, etc.). You will be looked down upon if you dress casually, even if you are smart and/or have experience. Candidates should also be prepared to show their team-work and interpersonal skills, as this will show how you will fit in the culture.
Intern, Brisbane - 29 Nov 2022
Be yourself and confident in yourself and your abilities. In the group interview, be involved as much as you can be without trying to outcompete the other candidates. It is more about showing you can work well with others while also providing valuable input.
