How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
ANAO is pretty good at supporting flexible arrangements. I've only heard of them being rejected if they are particularly unusual or unnecessary.

Very flexible - but this an create a culture of expectation to always work extra hours as a requirement to complete work

Flexibility can very a lot between teams and departments. My team and departments have been very accommodating with work ours.

At EOFY we work longer hours but that is to be expected and is not something that I dislike about the job. The ANAO are incredibly accommodating when it comes to work hours.

At the moment, office attendance is very flexible. Regular WFH arrangements can be made.

I tend to work a 7-and-a-half-hour day, with it increased to up to 10 hours during busy time. In terms of flexibility with hours, last year I worked 7:30-3:30 while my coworker worked 9-5, showing that there is flexibility with working hours.

My work hours are quite flexible. I am able to start work at a time that suits me, attend any appointments I need to where I'm not able to book them 'outside of standard work hours' and can make these hours up quite easily so that this time is not always booked a 'leave'.

Very accommodating

The ANAO is very flexible with the working hours. I usually start early (between 8 and 8:30am), and finish early (between 4 and 4:30pm). All my managers have been accommodating with any time off I have requested, including annual leave, flex days and days when I requested to work from home. Of course, we have to consider business needs when we schedule leave, which can be difficult if you are in the middle of a very busy period, but that is common to all entities.

Flexible most of the year, but there is a peak period from July-August/September.

Quite flexible. Business comes first but we have flex time and there is the opportunity to work from home
