About Bain Capital Australia

Bain Capital, a leading alternative investment firm founded in 1984, manages approximately $180 billion in assets across 25 global locations with a team of over 1,750 employees. Their consulting-based investment approach fosters close partnerships with management teams worldwide, driving long-term value across various asset classes. Committed to responsible practices, they prioritize environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards in all investments, aiming for lasting impacts on investors, teams, businesses, and communities.

Your role

Bain Capital is offering a paid, 4-week internship program for exceptional final-year students interested in pursuing a career in investing. The internship will be held in their Sydney Office with the Special Situation and Credit teams, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn and adopt an investment mindset and build your professional network.

Interns will learn the building blocks of a career in investing by getting first-hand experience performing due diligence, structuring investments, building models, conducting valuation analysis and preparing investment committee memos.

Benefits

Bain Capital's aspiration is to set the standard by encouraging its portfolio companies to create environments that prioritize employee safety, well-being, and engagement. At Bain Capital, they emphasize cultivating talent internally, embodying a purpose-driven ethos, and fostering a collaborative culture. Their approach includes tailored growth opportunities through training, mentorship, and engagement with senior leadership, alongside a commitment to employee well-being evidenced by employee networks, comprehensive programs, and pay equity reviews.

Emphasizing inclusive leadership, they utilize communication as a foundational element and maintain a range of Employee Resource Groups. These groups include the LGBTQ+ Network, Women Connecting Network, Women in Tech Network, Multicultural Network, AAPI Affinity Group, Black at Bain Capital, and Hispanic/Latinx Affinity Group, among others.
