BDO is one of the world’s leading audit, accounting, advisory and consulting firms. We provide a range of services to clients of all sizes and industries across Australia.

Our Payroll Advisory team assist clients with understanding whether they are at risk of underpaying their employees in line with the relevant Industry Award or Enterprise Agreement, and calculate those underpayments through historical reconciliations. As labelled by the media, “Wage Theft” is an issue that continues to grow, and as a result, so does the need for this service. Criminalisation and the recent “closing the loophole” Act has brought even higher focus to the importance of payroll advisory services, creating an exciting opportunity to be involved in an everchanging and growing area.

What you’ll do:

As a Payroll Advisory Graduate at BDO, you can expect to:

  • Support clients to address matters relating to payroll compliance, specifically related to Industrial Awards and other instruments

  • Be involved in reconciliation tool design, build and implementation (using excel and other platforms)
  • Address matters relating to payroll compliance, industry awards, data cleansing, and reconciliation modelling

  • 12-month learning and development program
  • Support and guidance from your buddy and manager
  • Service line specific learning and development, aligned to clear career pathways
  • Social activities with your Graduate cohort, and the wider firm
  • The little things like free brekkie, healthy snacks and dress for your day
