The company pledges significant amount of money. Opportunities for employees to get involved in volunteering is restricted.

The Green initiative is big in the company. I havent worked on any personally but i know the solar project is set to go online so and offset a huge chunk of BHPs power generation for the Eastern Pilbara

Have worked on none personally. Company is big on reconciliation and sustainability. Have heard from multiple people we could do better in indigenous spend as compared to other similar companies.

Lots of sustainability focused initiatives - water saving, renewable energy, waste minimisation etc. Also a lot of cultural initiatives - supporting women and minorities. Nothing that I have personally worked on.

Their commitment to mental health. I have been involved on the mental health committee and was very impressed to see how much emphasis BHP places on this initiative.

I understand BHP is very committed to the environment and lessening their carbon footprint, which is very important to me. An issue such as climate change would not take just overnight to fix, but I believe BHP is trying to make a difference in that regard.
