How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
Work 12 hr days, 9 days a fortnight, FIFO roster. Company is very flexible.
Graduate, Perth - 07 Dec 2022
I am FIFO, so the longer 12 hour days at work fit well for me because when I am at work I eat, sleep, work. But when I am home I get the separation I need and appreciate having the week off instead of just two days.

We work 12+ hour days on site which can make dominate your work life balance, but the company is flexible with rosters.
Graduate, Perth - 07 Dec 2022
12 hours on site shifts. Flexible rosters for Engineers are available

Work hours vary depending on what needs to get done. Team is comfortable with working extra hours to take extra off through time in lieu.
Graduate, Perth - 01 Dec 2022
Very flexible but have expectations of work being complete and meeting attendance. I don't take enough advantage of this
Graduate, Perth - 01 Dec 2022
I spend 10 hours at work as per my contract. I have the flexibility to do more or less depending on the requirements of the work.
Graduate, Adelaide - 01 Dec 2022
I work 12 hour days and work from home when needed, very flexible in where i work as long as i deliver the deliverables
Graduate, Perth (Pilbara region) - 30 Nov 2022
Consistently work 10 hr days (my contract states 8 hr) due to the amount of work needing to be done. No pressure from managers to complete these hours.
Graduate, Perth - 28 Nov 2022
FIFO work. 12.5 hour days (not including time on the bus) and living on site on a 5:2 4:3 roster. (normal hours and days (7.6 hours Mon-Fri) for Perth based employees)
Graduate, Perth - 28 Nov 2022
Somewhat flexible.
Graduate, Perth - 28 Nov 2022
Flexible work arrangements very easily negotiated, even when doing FIFO
Graduate, Newman - 28 Nov 2022
The work hours are long everyday, and there is a lot of work outside the official hours. The company is flexible in the sense that if you need a specific time slot free (for an appointment etc) there is no issue, but inflexible in the sense that the amount of work requires that you are constantly overworking yourself to keep up.
Graduate, Roxby Downs - 28 Nov 2022
If you work rostered (shift/FIFO), the hours on site are more strict due to bus schedule, however there are various flexible working arrangements available. i.e. work in the city in place of time on site.
Graduate, Newman/Perth - 28 Nov 2022
Very bad culture in the team/organization around working longer hours than you are rostered for. The roster is already quite demanding, so with this additional pressure to stay longer, the days can be quite demanding.
Graduate, Olympic Dam, Roxby Downs - 28 Nov 2022
As long as you are available during work hours and can get your work done it is very flexible.
Graduate, Brisbane - 28 Nov 2022
I get micromanaged if I ever try to work from home or go outside of typical hours, despite the fact I always get my wok done.
Graduate, Winchester - 28 Nov 2022
Aways work much more than required. No choice.
Graduate, Olympic Dam - 28 Nov 2022
Very flexible, can leave early if needed
Graduate, Muswellbrook - 28 Nov 2022
FIFO 12 hours per day, 8/6 roster. Flexible hours only if office is walking distance from camp, otherwise need to take bus to office which is only at fixed hours. Reduces flexibility when working FIFO if there is only one bus in the morning and after work.
