How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
Tasked based hours. However, the role involves being able to resolve issues that arise which does not end until everyone is off site.

I am based in the Brisbane office and work here full time. If I ever need to leave early an afternoon or need to work from home one day my manager is flexible and allows me to do this.

I send 10.5 hours a day in site. This does not include travel time. I would say because of these long hours, my work life balance is affected.
Graduate, Adelaide - 18 Jan 2023
Working in the office is fine, however working on site is different, I am working 10 to 11 hours on site and I'm only getting paid 8 hours. I was a bit disappointed knowing the extra hours I worked at, I was not getting paid. The important thing is the experience and skills which I will gain when spending more time on site and trying to learn as much as possible.

10 hours a day
Graduate, Melbourne - 18 Jan 2023
Our company operates 8 am till 5pm. As an office worker I feel less productive for that whole length of time. I struggle to be able to keep the same level of intensity for the whole day and feel I would be better working a few less hours (9-5) at the same intensity I start most of my days. The afternoon slump is real.

Most site-based staff usually work at least 10 hours a day. The expectation for our team is 6.30-7 am starts and 4-4.40pm finishes. Our team isn't super flexible, however, they're flexible if you need to fit in an appointment into your work day.

When site based, the hours required aren't small. However, this does not change company to company.

Not super flexible but understanding

Woking hours are normally quite long per week, however if any leave or personal time off is required, I haven't had any issues with this

I work between 40-50 hours/week. The work life balance is the best I've experienced in my career.
