Not 100% sure of what it takes to move up the ranks as I have not yet had to go through a promotion interview yet but I believe you have a conversation with your people manager, build a case with feedback from project teams/managers. The people manager then presents your case to the leadership team where they'll discuss and then you'll find out if you were successful or not. I believe there are 2-3 promotion rounds within the year.

There are once a year reviews and promotion opportunities, while I do believe this could be done more frequently it does give clear indications of expectations and goals along with some checkups through the year

The first promotion is from an Associate Consultant to a Consultant at Capgemini and is a default one. From there, depending on your performance , that is how many hours you spent on a billable project, your achievements, certifications and other factors, you are promoted to the next levels.

At my current level, I will receive a promotion next year. After this, my performance will be reviewed to assess what rank/salary I should receive. There is a clear progression outlined, though I have not reached this stage yet being newer to the company, so I cannot comment on the process in-detail. One thing I appreciate is that prior to my interview, I was given an information sheet that clearly outlined career progression opportunities within my business line.

After one year, there is automatic promotion to consultant and after that you can move up ranks to senior/lead consultant, manager, senior manager etc.

After a year as an associate consultant, you may be promoted to consultant and from their onwards there are mid year and end of year promotion possibilities.

The career progression looks very good. I like that our grad program is only 1 year compared to other places.
