Disappointed that it always takes 2 years between promotions
Graduate, Melbourne - 15 Mar 2022
Promotions occur every few years, as per the ranking system. These are not clearly communicated, so you do not know when you are ready to move up unless you approach your manager.

Being competent at your job

It sounds like there is a lot of room for promotion and moving around the company. However I have also heard that if you are good in one position, it can be hard to move as the team/project will need you to stay.
Graduate, North Sydney - 23 Feb 2022
I feel my involvement with the projects team has given me likely prospects to continue work as a project engineer leading out of the grad program.
Graduate, Perth - 23 Feb 2022
Promotion post grad position. Hoping to be able to progress in the next few years as well.

Many previous graduates now working in different levels of the company - including management positions.
Midlevel, Brisbane - 17 Feb 2022
From graduate there is a clear step to engineer. Beyond that, all of the senior and principal engineers have substantially more industry experience and typically have come from other companies.
