Management at Coles

I have had 3 fantastic managers. Very supportive, very active and very easy to work with.

Varies. There are some amazing mentors at Coles, and some that are shockingly bad.

They are great mentors with a wealth of knowledge. The only thing that I wish i could have is a deeper understanding

Get a lot of recognition, not really great internal communication, performance feedback varies.

It can be hard to communicate given many are not in office Managers have a wealth of experience and happy to pass the experience on Recognition is done well

Managers are very accessible and make it very it clear that they are here to support you

Great effort from our functional sponsor to get us face time with all the different managers

Yes they interact well. It's not something that is high on my radar and I wouldn't care of they didn't.

My immediate managers are great mentors, however there are some bad apples in the batch.

managers are good, the have to work with bad formal performance review system.

Line manager level very accessible and easy to ask for mentorship. Higher level management not so much at all

I have been able ot personally talk to the leadership team and get advice when I need it.

My manager would always encourage me to reach out for anything, and help guide me through work issues. Provided positive and constructive feedback for bigger tasks I worked on. The many meetings they were a part of each work sometimes made it difficult to find a time to reach out that suited them.

Line manager and other managers are always easy to connect with however in currently role majority of this is done virtually

Managers vary, there isnt a consistent sense of how things are run as they vary from person to person but overall there is a consistent sense of culture and pride

Line managers are fantastic. extremely accessible and helpful

Depends with the person. I've had a manager who's quite busy and therefore did not have the time to spend with me when I didn't really know much. However now that I understand what I'm doing, I feel that I don't need as much support and when I do ask for help, I get quite good feedback. I'm able to take initiative and work much more independently. There are other managers who are more approachable and really care about your wellbeing and purpose. And I would say this is majority of the people that I have worked with. I find most managers quite supportive and go out of their way to help you.
