Please describe the interview process and assessments.
The interview process was long, and the group interview was a bit messy. But overall the process was not too difficult.

It was quite a lengthy process. You firstly get assessed based on your resume and cover letter, then you get asked to participate in some psychometrics tests. If you get shortlisted then you are asked to do a one way video interview. If you are successful then you are asked to go to the assessment centre where you participate in a group activity and have your individual interview.

In-depth process. Multiple (4) stages with increasing levels of assessment.
Graduate, Melbourne - 09 Oct 2023
Standard multi stage process; HR reviews resume, logic-reasoning tests, etc. Final round had group and individual interviews. Decisions and interview process were done by the team that you will be placed in, not entirely HR. Communication of outcomes was quick.

Application with resume. Some sort of assessment in relation to problem solving, reading skills and other things of that nature. Self interview online where we were prompted with questions and had to record ourselves answering. There was then the online interview where we had to do an activity in a group, then moved on to and individual interview.

Very thorough and structured, showing professionalism. Interviewees were all easy to get along with. The interview process was run very smoothly by the graduate development manager.

Although there are lots of stages to the interview process, CSL was able to provide quick feedback and I wasnt left waiting to hear back if I had proceeded for a long time. The interview and assessment centre was conducted online and I heard back about the job later that same day.

The application required a resume and cover letter submission, followed by psychometric testing. The final stage of the process was an assessment center and final interview and presentation. The assessment center looked at working in a small group to assess an issue and make a small presentation about it. The interview involved a presentation on your take on one of the company's values, along with a few interview questions.

Multiple stages. Online tests, video interview, assessment centre.

My assessment was conducted online. As part of the interview/assessment process there was a group interview section where we were required to brainstorm an idea to improve an aspect of the company and present this to the interviewers. This was followed by individual interviews with a panel. We were required to prepare a short presentation about our interpretation of the company's values and were then asked questions.
Graduate, Melbourne - 09 Apr 2023
What questions were you asked in your interviews?
Mostly behavioural questions. In addition, we were also asked to prepare a 3 min presentation for the individual component of the interview.

What are your interests. What have you done recently to improve your life. How do you think you relate to the company values.

Why work for CSL? Explain a time you have faced a challenge/something didn't go your way. Previous relevant experience. Other standard interview questions, only 3 main questions and then some discussion.

I only remember one, which was what value of the company do you resonate with most and why. I did a lot of interviews during this period so I cannot remember what else was asked.

Do you have any specific tips and advice for candidates applying to your company? How would you recommend they best prepare?
I recommend preparing for standard interview questions and to continuously remember the attributes that CSL is looking for in their responses. However, I strongly encourage candidates to be authentic to themselves - I feel that being relaxed and genuine helped me to get my role.

Make sure you understand why you'd like to work for the company. This is pretty much always asked in any interviews, and having an answer that set's yourself apart from others really helps. It's also great to ensure you have some questions for your interviewers. I find ones that relate to them on a more personal level work well to build rapport, rather than on a general company level. E.g., Asking what they're favourite project they've worked on is and why.
