Thiri Hlaing

With all the other tasks done, I have time to manage scheduling, handle ad hoc tasks, and navigate essential recruitment platforms.

7.00 AM

Time to wake up! In the morning, I prefer to be proactive and efficient. I quickly get changed and have a simple breakfast of bread and milk, allowing me to be ready to leave the house within 30 minutes.

7.30 AM

After arriving at Melbourne Central, I catch any train that heads to Glenferrie station. Fortunately, several train lines pass through there, including the Belgrave, Lilydale, and Alamein lines.

8.30 AM

Fortunately, the train station is conveniently close to Fuse Recruitment's building, so it only takes me about 5 minutes to walk there. Upon arrival, I often meet colleagues in the elevator, where I greet them warmly and inquire about their weekend activities if it's a Monday. Once inside the office, I prepare my own coffee in the kitchen and engage in brief chats with colleagues there as well.

9.00 AM

In the morning, I begin checking my Outlook emails and Teams messages. This helps me stay organized and ensure that I’m updated on tasks and meetings scheduled for the day.

10.00 AM

Then I start working on reviewing candidate profiles and scanning resumes for specific job roles. For instance, I could be assigned to find suitable candidates for a Truck Wash Attendant role.

11.00 AM

I focus on scanning resumes and searching for specific keywords, such as identifying potential candidates who hold HC/MR licenses using Idibu, also checking applicants who have applied for the posted job. If I identify promising candidates, I quickly schedule screening calls with them before heading to lunch.

12.00 PM

It's lunchtime! If I have the morning free, I enjoy preparing my own lunch, but occasionally I like to dine out and explore the restaurants in Hawthorn. Among my favorites are the Vietnamese Banh Mi and Pho spots nearby. It's also a great opportunity to catch up with fellow interns and discuss how our morning went.

1.00 PM

After my break, if I don't see enough candidates for client submission, I jump on 'Employer Seek' to search for passive candidates. It's a way to find professionals who might not be actively looking but could be perfect for the role.

2.00 PM

After screening the scheduled candidates, I focus on crafting candidate profiles for those who will be presented to the client. If the client responds on the same day, I follow up with selected candidates to schedule final interviews. Or else I would continue it on the following day when I come into the office.

3.00 PM

With all the other tasks done, I have time to manage scheduling, handle ad hoc tasks, and navigate essential recruitment platforms like Bullhorn, Seek, Idibu and Talentinfo.

4.30 PM

It’s time to head out! I say goodbye to Seb and Will and other interns in the infrastructure team. As I leave, I also say goodbye to other colleagues in the office.

5.30 PM

I’m finally at home! After wrapping up my day, I typically take some time to unwind. I’ll shower and have dinner to recharge. Once I’m settled. I would catch up with my studies, enjoy a movie or paint.

11.30 PM

I usually head to bed at 1 am, but if I have an early start the next day, I push myself to go to bed around 11:30 pm.
