What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
About average, could be higher.
Graduate, Palmerston North - 06 Nov 2023
Slightly less than some of my friends from other companies but still alright
Graduate, Christchurch - 03 Nov 2023
Compared to other grads I know in other companies its probably above average. Bonus's / promotions are pretty minimal while in the graduate program but better once you finish
Graduate, Christchurch - 03 Nov 2023
The pay could be better including a higher KiwiSaver match but we get morning tea and friday drinks as well as insurances and cheaper private health insurance
Graduate, Palmerston North - 03 Nov 2023
When comparing my pay to my friends working the same role in other companies they get paid more than I do
Graduate, Wellington - 02 Nov 2023
I am a grad, I know that the pay is not going to be amazing and I know that with my current skill set it probably doesn't warrant massive pay. But with the cost of living crisis and flatting and living in Auckland, it doesn't leave me with much money to save and leaves me with little money to spend on living costs. I think the salaries should be reflective of the current market, if not above as I feel that GHD always seems to go above and beyond for things like this.

I've been told from other young professionals that my pay is quite good for my career path and I was also quite pleasantly surprised when comparing it to colleagues form other companies

Well below average for ~1 year at the company. Normal would be around 70k, we're below. :(

I have been offered higher salaries from other companies. GHD pay reasonably and provide great bonuses.

What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
You can opt in for salary deduction to purchase leave - e.g. you can reduce your weekly paycheck to 'buy' up to 8 weeks leave (on top of 4 weeks you already have) Lots of work drinks, social club events.
Graduate, Christchurch - 03 Nov 2023
social club events such as bowling, roller skating and mini golf at least once a month
Graduate, Palmerston North - 03 Nov 2023
Health and life insurance which are epic.
Graduate, Hamilton - 02 Nov 2023
Social clubs, end of months drinks, monthly reporting breakfast
Graduate, Auckland - 02 Nov 2023
the only perk I have noticed is free events held internally and externally
Graduate, Wellington - 02 Nov 2023
We get insurance benefits and if it is a work expense we can comp them to business expenses
Graduate, Auckland - 02 Nov 2023
We get a lot of free lunches and invites and discounts on certain suppliers + good leave policies of 4weeks annual leave with a 2 week xmas shut down period
Graduate, Auckland - 02 Nov 2023
Nothing, there are no great perks. All perks are standard ones you get for working at any standard large company.
