8.4 rating for Diversity, based on 42 reviews
Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
I am comfortable being out as non-binary at work which is a huge testament to our LGBTQIA+ acceptance. There is a considerable effort being made to support minority groups.

The gender diversity within my team is good, although most if not all of the senior engineers and management are still male. The team still feels a lot more diverse than ones I worked in as an intern previously, and I haven't experienced any subtle or overt sexism as a female employee. Racially the team is very diverse, and I think there is good diversity from the LGBTIQA+ point of view as well although this isn't quite so obvious. I haven't encountered any overt or subtle bigoted behavior during my time at GHD, and there have been multiple diversity shares and talks. There is also a great culture around recognising and truly working with Indigenous Australians, both in projects and when we hire catering for example, and around internal training and culture shares. I'm not well versed in it, but I have heard there is good maternity and paternity leave. We have multiple internal employee groups to support and promote various diverse groups within GHD, like Women in GHD and a Neurodivergence group.

While there is a very strong emphasis on the importance of diversity, it can be hard to see that diversity personified. I feel like more targets need to be met to call this a diverse company.

Not sure about regional offices but Sydney definitely feels like it is made up of a diverse team.

It is a very diverse and accepting community at GHD. I like that within our team especially, we value cognitive diversity and have such a range of design and thinking styles which I believe makes our work better.

Especially hearing some of the things that are said on site by clients, it's very refreshing to see GHD's approach (as opposed to the bigotry I hear on occasion on site)

Company appears to be committed to increasing diversity through programs, mentoring, etc. Diversity is decent for this kind of industry, but could definitely be better.

As a mature, female, disabled graduate, I think their diversity is pretty awesome.

There is a focus on diversity with respect to women. There are gender quotas in place. There seems to be an issue with staff retention as a number of people have left recently / are leaving.

Pretty good- women make up a lot of the lead in NR&A.

There are active members of LGBTIQA committee at work and everyone is very welcoming of everyone. I think the recruitment process is quite long and is hard to get a response back from recruiters.

Honestly pretty good from an engineering company in my opinion.

There seems to be a focus on diversity, there doesn't seem to be much diversity of ethnicities but I think they are trying to improve that. LGBTIQA+ community is strong and they have many events supporting this
