I feel their is good diversity within Policy, as well as a focus on integrating more reo into the workplace.

I think IRD does a good job in celebrating diversity and ethnicity as for days such as Chinese New Years, Matariki etc there is always an event of celebration in the office.

IRD in the past has had limited diversity but has been taking a proactive effort to remedy this in the last decade. This means that there is plenty of diversity, just not necessarily evenly spread across all levels of the departments

Overall, I think there is a lot of good awareness and commitment for diversity. There is also a lot of flexibility around childcare, maternity leave, etc, and effort put into this regarding recruitment, retention and promotion. However, policy at IR has statistically been not very diverse, although there is a recent noticeable shift towards this.

There are groups for diversity both in departments and as an organisation. I haven't had any experience with the rest.
