What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Pay is good and feels right
Graduate, Wellington - 16 Jul 2024
Technically the DIA sorts the pay and bonuses since I am on secondment but for a grad I think it's a good starting point

Good pay
Graduate, Wellington - 11 Jul 2024
The pay is good for a graduate job in the public sector in NZ. The wellness remuneration is also a nice bonus.
Graduate, Wellington - 11 Jul 2024
I think the pay and pay-rises are transparent so there is a lot of certainty on pay. The graduate/development level tends to be lower but this is also understandable, and the initial pay-rises was higher than I expected.

I hope to get good pay like other places, however the learning we got is priceless and precious.
Graduate, Wellington - 23 Nov 2023
I am satisfied. I believe that we are paid competitively, when compared to other agencies. Opportunities for progression also result in the ability to increase pay.
Graduate, Wellington - 23 Nov 2023
There is fair remuneration, but no bonus scheme provided as it is the public sector.
Graduate, Wellington - 23 Nov 2023
It is a regular grad salary. However, IR has been generous since I joined, with honest transparency in promotion and salary.

What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
The wellbeing payment

Since I am on secondment my perks fall under DIA and not IRD.

5 weeks annual leave and unlimited sick leave
Graduate, Wellington - 11 Jul 2024
Unlimited sick leave and five weeks annual leave. You can also get corporate discounts at gyms etc.
Graduate, Wellington - 11 Jul 2024
Wellbeing payment of 400$ per year, 5 weeks annual leave, unlimited sick leave, graduation leave
Graduate, Wellington - 03 Jul 2024
There are multiple health and wellbeing related deals that are organised through the organisation. Also, people are very generous and there is often a lot of food brought to work for everyone to enjoy.

I do not know until now.
Graduate, Wellington - 23 Nov 2023
I wouldn't say there are perks as described above, in that IR forms part of the public service. However, there is generous leave policies and there is often cake in the office.
Graduate, Wellington - 23 Nov 2023
I guess the main perk is flexibility, which broadly includes when and where you work (so long as it is not extended remote working), what you do (there is often work opportunities across teams), and when/how you take leave.
