Culture at Mars Australia

9.1
9.1 rating for Culture, based on 8 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
I think the culture is amazing and people really value getting to know one another on a person level. However, there are some aspects to the culture of Mars which makes it difficult for there to be accountability on projects and roles and responsibilities sometimes get confused.

Great culture, everyone loves working for Mars and is approachable.

We have a very social team in research and development who all get along and are very friendly. People in other teams are also quite social, especially younger ones. At 12pm everyday, everyone stops work and eats lunch together. My team has organised a few catch ups outside of work hours and were able to go on a trip to Newcastle to learn how to work better together.

Fantastic work culture. Everyone is very welcoming and willing to get to know you beyond just a work colleague. Only thing I would say is that with COVID, there are a limited number of people of site so harder to form connections with those outside of who you need to interact with for work

The company has been great. The engineering team has been involved in various off site team building tasks and the business as a whole is very relaxed and accommodating to any needs. This includes flexible working arrangements and hours etc. There is no clear hierarchy, everyone is an associate and the 5 guiding principles are instilled in everyone that works in the company, as a result, everyone and their opinion is valued.

The culture is excellent but it is so supportive to the point that it can be a little bit of a bubble where we don't have realistic perspectives of how our customers and consumers are reacting to our products.

After hours culture cannot be commented on as I have yet to interact with people outside of work. In office hours culture however is inviting and friendly. There is no clear hierarchy here and everyone is always up for a chat
