Culture at Mineral Resources

8.4 rating for Culture, based on 13 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
I work with very professional individuals, we work as one team and people go above and beyond to fulfill their respective duties. After work there are opportunities to catch up with team members and socialize.

In the office, everyone is switched on ready to get the job done. They also offer great support and advice which you can learn from. Out of office, it stops being more so based on work. You are able to connect more and understand them more personally.

The Energy team is a relatively new part of the company (dedicated mainly to the mining business). The company's culture invites you to be yourself at work so you can perform to your full potential. Communication with your teammates and superiors is easy and always welcomed. There's certain opposition to work from home but if it's required you're allowed to, as long as you inform your manager. Socializing amongst colleagues is encouraged. I consider most of my teammates as friends, and for the rest, we have a friendly, respectful and healthy relationship. Occasionally, we all gather on Friday after work to have a good time at the local pub.

Work culture in the office is pleasant but there is definitely a vibe instilled by management that you must work hard. People are very receptive of the fact that you are a Graduate and work hard to offer lots of opportunities for learning. Colleagues are generally excited by their work and passionate about the company but that is not without the hard days where things go wrong.

There is a huge emphasis on inclusion and comradery. A clearly defined hierarchy means business can be conducted efficiently.

The culture in the office is good, the moral in the crew onsite could be improved. There is a very visible disconnect between management and ground crew.

Everyone is professional and friendly, and will have some drinks after hours.

There is ample socialising with in work groups, however my team operates totally independent of the parent company and thus we get less of the perks.

Because I work in a small team, I have a really great relationship with my manager. The office is also open plan and great for easily communicating with others and for meeting people in different departments. However, the hours are longer than my previous job and there is a culture of people working overtime and eating primarily at their desks.

The company culture is excellent. There is no sense of a "hierarchy" and business leaders (including General Managers) are willing to socialise with anyone, regardless of their position or title.

I have a very good team at my current workplace. Everyone is supportive and are ready to help when I'm in need. Not only during office hours, but we also make a good team in the sense we have fun after hours too.
