Join us at the MongoDB Sydney office on the 18th of August 2022 to learn more about our Summer 22/23 internships on offer!

You'll have the opportunity to meet the hiring manager, current employees and recent interns, ask questions and also present your resume to the team. There'll also be swag bags to give out to our attendees on the night. Refreshments will be provided.

We have many positions open across multiple teams under our 3 internships;

Software Engineering Internship

Our opportunities in Sydney are on our Storage Engines Team, Charts Team, Labs Team, and Migrator Team.

The Storage Engines team works in C/C++ and manages how MongoDB stores data, both in-memory and on disk. The Charts team uses Javascript to maintain and update MongoDB’s modern data visualization tool that is integrated with the MongoDB cloud data platform.

The Labs team is MongoDB's research department, working across various technologies and tasked with identifying and exploring products and technologies. The Migrator team is an upcoming greenfield first-party MongoDB product that will help customers migrate workloads from relational databases to MongoDB - the team works in Typescript, React, Java, Spring Boot, and more.

Product Management Internship

We're seeking a passionate intern to help shape the future of our Atlas Charts data visualisation product. Working with our Sydney-based product management team, you will help plan projects and ship features that will delight our growing customer base. As an intern, you will work directly with MongoDB’s product managers, user experience designers, and software engineers. You will be fully integrated into the team helping to analyse users’ feedback and advocate on their behalf. You will mine various data sources to discover new product requirements, develop and communicate product strategy to relevant stakeholders, maintain roadmaps, prioritise backlogs, and deliver and launch new capabilities to drive our product strategy.

Product Design Internship

As an intern, you will collaborate closely with Senior Product Designers to gain practical product design experience. You will determine and advocate for user needs, make design decisions, and balance those with business objectives and engineering trade-offs, to create user experiences that will make an impact on our data visualisation product, Atlas Charts. You will develop an understanding of Atlas Charts users through established user research, competitive analysis, common behaviour patterns, and advocacy for user needs. Also, you will collaborate with designers, product managers, engineers and stakeholders to discover, define, design and develop user experiences for Atlas Charts, and partner with the Atlas Charts team and Design Systems team to develop and implement your work.

Be sure to RSVP as spots are limited. We will be contacting ticket holders 48 hours prior to the event to confirm attendance.
