nbn ranked as the 6th “Top Graduate Employer medium size programs” by The Australian Association of Graduate Employees for 2024.

nbn is so much more than the internet.

To be part of nbn is to be part of something bigger. We’re the digital backbone of Australia and more. Leaders. Changemakers. Collaborators. We encourage each other to find new solutions in productive, competitive and innovative ways—providing access to crucial tools and services for our customers, partners, communities, and the country.

As a Graduate at nbn, you’ll have the chance to work alongside inspiring leaders and creative thinkers as you propel your career with 4 tailored rotations during your 2 year program, collaborating with innovators in your field, as we help lift Australia’s digital capability.

The nbn Security Group are responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and reliable telecommunications network. Operating under an industry-leading converged model, we bring together physical, personnel, cyber, investigations, intelligence, governance, risk, consulting, and strategy capabilities to provide a coordinated view of risks.  As a Security Graduate you will have the opportunity to work on projects like threat hunting and penetration testing, cyber automation, geopolitical and intelligence research and analysis, supply chain security, influencing human behaviour, implementing programs that improve privacy and the security of critical infrastructure, as well as participating in forensic investigations.

Graduates who are interested in contributing to the Security team, could have an interest in cyber security, criminology, ethics, machine learning, behavioural economics, intelligence, digital forensics, political science, compliance, risk management, coding, DevSecOps, law, communications, data analysis, or psychology. Ideally you will love problem solving and be a lateral thinker.  We welcome Graduates with a variety of backgrounds and degrees.
