Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
The company has a firm commitment to ensuring minority groups are represented across all levels of seniority and function. Women represent the majority in management and across the firm. We have targets for inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of the community and make a consistent effort to promote reconciliation.

Very strong voice in diversity. So far we are achieving it more so than most workplaces.

Quite a diverse office. Respect towards others is central to all that Nous does and this is obvious at all levels of the organisation.

The office is a wonderful mix of people from all sorts of backgrounds. The company is also explicitly conscious with diversity and creating a safe space for all types of people.

Nous's gender balance currently has more women than men. Nous Proud is a network for LGGTQI+ people and Nous also has a disability network I believe. I haven't noticed any set-backs for women, ethnic minorities, LGBTQI+ people. I find the environment at Nous very inclusive and respectful. Nous is also very flexible with child care and maternity leave etc to enable women, men, and all people to balance work and family commitments.

I am not sure if there are specific programs but it is clear that they do not preference people from privileged backgrounds as we have a diverse range of people and backgrounds in the office.

Coming from a middle-class background myself, I was very nervous to join a consulting firm as I the impression I had prior to the company was that consultants came from the same suburbs, same schools, same degrees. I had previously had negative experiences in situations where I was surrounded by people from overwhelmingly privileged backgrounds. I have been very pleased to see how welcoming and diverse an environment the company has.
