What does an Electrical engineer do?

It depends on the team you are on, but your day-to-day tasks could include: 

  • Working on projects as part of a team to develop electrical, control and instrumentation designs for equipment, facilities, components, products and systems
  • Designing electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for our projects
  • Involvement in planning and feasibility studies through to concept and detailed design.
  • Preparing layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams for projects using CAD design.
  • Preparation of simple plans, designs, calculations, costs and bills of material.

About you: 

  • Electrical Engineering degree
  • Passion for learning and problem-solving
  • Eligible to work in Australia
  • Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years of experience
