What does a Fire engineer in Buildings do?

  • Physics, mathematics, computer modelling are skills you would develop
  • Exposure to use of different building materials, structures and buildings, fire systems, human behaviour and safety, and the prevention, detection and suppression of fire
  • Assist Senior and Project Engineers in completing projects in terms of program, profitability, technical risk management and overall Client satisfaction
  • Assess the threat of fires and determine how to improve structures to ensure building occupants can occupy and evacuate the building safely

About You

  • Mechanical, Structural, Civil, Chemical, Science, Mechatronics, Fire degree
  • Passion for learning and problem-solving
  • Eligible to work in Australia
  • Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years of experience
