If you are studying Sustainability engineering, this is the perfect opportunity to work across an exciting and broad range of projects in our Buildings team! 

What we provide 

  • 10-week (400 hours) internship between November and February (timing may vary depending on the team) with a structured internship program 
  • Opportunity to continue to work with Stantec casually after your initial internship, with the potential to obtain a 2026 graduate position!

What does a Sustainability intern do in our Buildings team? 

  • Support the Sustainability Team and the Energy Team with daily tasks such as reports, documentation review, and markups 
  • Learn how to apply Sustainability rating tools 
  • Contribute to delivering low-carbon outcomes on projects of all shapes and sizes  
  • Assess climate change risk on projects and research ways to adapt  
  • Delivering an ongoing pipeline of some of the most sustainable projects in WA 
  • Researching sustainability initiatives to be included in projects  
  • Work with an energised and engaging team  
  • Working in a team who are continuously striving to improve themselves and the world around them

What do you need? 

  • You will be working towards an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in Sustainability Engineering 
  • You will ideally be in your penultimate year of study  
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
