Don’t miss this opportunity to grow your career and join the team as an Electrical Engineer Graduate.  As an Electrical Engineer Graduate, you will work within multiple collaborative teams to develop technical expertise across the TasNetworks distribution and transmission networks. You will learn about the electrical network industry and work on a variety of exciting projects that contribute to leading renewable energy initiatives in Tasmania.

Role Specific Accountabilities:

  • Develop technical expertise across the TasNetworks’ distribution and transmission network.
  • Gain an understanding of the organisation, its policies, processes, standards and culture.
  • Developing an understanding of the electrical network industry and contemporary issues (ie. National Electricity Market and regulated environment).
  • Working on a variety of often unrelated projects and ensuring goals are achieved within agreed timeframes.
  • Recognising this is potentially the first full-time employment experience and adjusting to the requirements of full-time employment and the requirements of a commercial business.
  • Be able to run concurrent projects.
  • Balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with TasNetworks’ policies and guidelines.
  • Working as part of a team.
  • Any other duty or task as reasonably and lawfully directed by TasNetwork

About you

To be successful in joining the next Graduate program intake, you will need to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (having graduated or graduating in 2022-2024) and a current driver's license. You will have the ability to self-motivate and manage your own performance as well as being able to build effective partnerships across the business to ensure the best solutions and results are achieved. You will be a person who will embrace working in a great culture.
