I can see a lot of work has gone into making Telstra more diverse and equitable. It is noticeable everyday and is one thing that makes it a great workplace to work in.

They have many active groups and promotions for various diversity groups/communities. They hold awareness campaigns and support sessions, and have a very open policy on recruitment.

As someone who has a disability, everybody is very catering to me.

Massive focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. We have active employee representative groups for women, LGBT+, culturally and linguistic diverse, First Nations, etc, as well as a team dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion. It is something that leaders seem to champion. Offer flexibility for parents- many parents can work from home, pick up their kids from school, etc. Paid parental leave. Lots of learning about how to make things more accessible. Plan for reconciliation and lots of effort behind empowering our First Nations communities. I always considered myself aware of DEI issues, but since joining this company I have actually learnt so much more than I thought I ever could've, especially about working with disabilities, working with neurotypical employees, and Indigenous Australians. Plus great programs empowering women in tech. Lots of female leaders.

Telstra are extremely welcoming of diverse backgrounds, sexualities, cultures etc. It's hard for me to say though, being a cis white male, but from what I have seen, the effort really is put in
