Your role

The Above Water Systems team provides design services for commercial and naval ships and also offers in-service support capabilities. They are proud to contribute to Australia's sovereign capability by providing operational support to the Navy. With ongoing training programs and a team of over 500, their people have the opportunity to grow and develop their careers while making a meaningful contribution to Australia's Defence.

The team is located centrally in Woolloomooloo's Garden Island, on Gadigal land. Working there allows employees to see their design work come to life on a variety of vessels.

Some of your day to day will include:

• Performing varied professional and administrative engineering support activities in their naval business
• Focus on ensuring their products comply with technical requirements
• Involvement in planning, reporting and also quality
• Problem-solving, analysis, and generating creative work solutions

About you

What they value most from graduates is a willingness to learn and the confidence to offer solutions, however, the below will also come in handy:

• Recently degree qualified in Naval Architecture or Maritime Engineering
• A true desire to work in a diverse team towards a common goal
• Leadership experience demonstrated through previous employment or extra-curricular activities whilst studying at university
• Australian Citizenship to be eligible for security clearance
