In a Supply Chain Internship Program, you’ll have access to our world leading Supply Chain, work with highly experienced teams and lead your own projects. We are looking for interns for our Safety and Quality teams for our North Rocks-based program.

Qualifications required:

  • You must be in your penultimate (second to last) or final year of study (ie final semester in 2024 or 2025)
  • You must hold an Australian Permanent Resident /Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship
  • You will need to be available to commence full time employment from the 3rd of December for the 12-week program

You will be able to demonstrate your potential through an exciting and challenging intern assignment at Unilever. Our internship programme gives you real work from day one, with clear deliverables and a plan to develop your skills during the internship.

Over the three-month internship, you will be assigned a business leader as your personal mentor, provided strong line manager support, gain hands-on experience, develop critical professional skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that impact the business.

The programme will commence from December 2024 to March 2025 and will be based in North Rocks. We understand Universities vary with timetables and so we are happy to be flexible and can offer full-time and part-time internships during this period, (excluding the holiday period of Christmas and New Year).

Key Responsibilities: Quality Role

  • Conduct raw material risk assessments and support HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system improvements.
  • Assist in reviewing quality specifications, quality document control and management.
  • Review lab equipment reliability including mapping locations, maintenance and calibration.
  • Support site cleaning and disinfection improvements.

Key Responsibilities: Safety Role

  • Identify potential workplace hazards, assess risks, and conduct hazard assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist in developing and delivering safety training materials, and facilitate communication on SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) policies and procedures to employees.
  • Develop basic awareness of workplace psychological health and well-being
  • Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions in the SHE Database.
  • Review compliance with workplace OHS (Occupational Health & Safety) standards, including Unilever’s internal standards and NSW/AUS regulations.
  • Help review, deploy, and assist with emergency response practices and plans.
  • Review and verify the appropriateness of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), ensuring employees use the correct equipment for specific tasks.
  • Develop basic awareness of workplace psychological health and well-being,
  • Participate in key site projects, accident investigations, and scheduled safety inspections and audits.
