Your role

As a Marketing and Communications intern at Urbis, you won't be a passive observer – you'll actively contribute to complex and meaningful projects that shape the urban landscape. Working within their accomplished team at Urbis, you'll gain invaluable insights and make a tangible impact on real-world initiatives. Their student roles provide the flexibility of working 2-4 days per week, allowing you to seamlessly integrate your internship with your studies.

The Marketing and Communications team at Urbis is a group of strategic professionals dedicated to enhancing Urbis' brand identity and providing a range of services including brand management, marketing strategy development, and communications. Their work is crucial in positioning Urbis as a leader in urban development and ensuring client satisfaction. With a deep understanding of market trends, client needs, and communication strategies, the team helps Urbis navigate the competitive landscape, attract and retain clients, and build a strong and reputable brand.

As an intern in the Marketing and Communications team, you will:

  • Support the delivery of marketing communications across Urbis and Cistri.
  • Assist in drafting, editing and coordinating content for a range of external and internal channels, particularly website, social media and their intranet on SharePoint.
  • Assist in the scheduling of social media content, both written content and imagery.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the website through edits and updates to copy and imagery.
  • Support updates and maintenance of marketing lists and other data in their CRM.
  • Support the preparation, planning, execution and measurement of marketing campaigns.
  • Support the preparation of marketing collateral to support Urbis partnerships, sponsorships and events.

This program will be suitable for those who will be undertaking tertiary studies in a relevant field in 2025, and have a combination of the following competencies:

  • Can communicate with confidence and in a responsive manner, both written and verbally
  • Strong client or customer-first mindset
  • Outcomes-driven and results-focused
  • Proven skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Please Note: you must have valid working rights in Australia and be studying throughout the duration of the internship to be eligible for the program.
