Your role

Every day, they rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Legal Intern role will make an impact. This role is part-time with 2 days of work per week.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Providing pro-active, effective and timely administrative and systems support to internal stakeholders across ANZ.
  • Identify, define and resolve problems in relation to the Legal function as they arise.
  • Improve the operational quality and effectiveness of the Legal function.
  • Plan, monitor and achieve functional goals within the prescribed timeframe.
  • Coordinate and manage corporate secretarial documents and filings for the ANZ business entities. 
  • Act as the first point of contact on behalf of the Legal team, and triage accordingly.

About you

The ideal candidate for this role is;

  •  A law student currently undertaking their degree, or;   
  • Extensive experience working as a senior Legal Secretary or Paralegal for an in-house Legal team, or within a Legal firm.

The minimum qualifications and experience for this role are:

  • NSW Law Society Legal Secretary training (equivalent experience will be considered) or 10+ years working as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal in a private law firm.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work from a customer (both internal and external) perspective to ensure customer satisfaction, by adopting a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Assertive, tenacious and resilient approach with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Must be eligible to work in Australia (Australian Citizen or appropriate Visa holder).
