Please describe the interview process and assessments.
Online assessment felt very similar to other applications I have made. The assessment centre felt a bit more casual and fun which encouraged us to show how we would work in a team.

Resume -> Video Interview -> Interview
Graduate, North Sydney - 25 Oct 2016
It was like any other normal graduate process. First there was the online test, then video interview. After that you get selected to go to the assessment centre and 1:1 interviews.

The interview process and assessments are the same as all other grad programs that I applied for. You go through online application, psychometric tests, video "interview" (more like record yourself answering set questions and send off), assessment centre and face to face interview. the deferring moment for me was that the CTO at the time interviewed me and that made me feel great because I knew VHA is committed to the grad program as even the CTO was involved in the process.

standard things involving "tell me about yourself" why did you study electrical engineering?, followed by the standard behavioural questions such as "tell me about a time you faced a deadline and your project was running out of time to be delivered on".

Do you have any specific tips and advice for candidates applying to your company? How would you recommend they best prepare?
As with any application, presentation is key, try to relax and show the best side of yourself. Remember the answers you have previously provided.
Graduate, Sydney - 01 Nov 2016
Know what you wrote in your resume and be yourself. Don't try to portray or act like a different person during the interview.
Graduate, Sydney - 26 Oct 2016
Research the telecommunications industry and decide whether it's an industry that you're passionate about. VHA is a fast-paced and challenging work environment, consider what type of work environment that you want to work in as this is not always for everyone.
Graduate, Sydney - 26 Oct 2016
Be customer focused, and be calm and relaxed
Graduate, North Sydney - 25 Oct 2016
Just be yourself! Also showing your knowledge about the company helps as well. You would also need to show that you are a team player.
Graduate, Sydney - 25 Oct 2016
The key to answering interview questions is to practice as many of them you can, there are plenty of resources on the internet to help you with behavioural questions. remember to always respond to any of these questions using the STAR method, doing so will allow for your answers to be clear, succinct and timely. During the assessment centre it really comes down to your style that you are comfortable with but remember you are competing against other people so you do have to stand out. there is a fine line between standing out and being a show off, you do not need to shout or tell off anyone you are all in it together so try things like encourage people in your group, keep talking during group activities and be democratic, no one likes working with an authoritarian person.
