Ambitious for a career that brings both growth and opportunity? Buckle Up!

Careers start with care. As a William Buck Graduate, we will nurture and grow your skills and confidence with focused Learning and Development programs, and a fun and collaborative team culture. You will be valued for what you bring, encouraged to discover your interests, shape your own career path, and be excited for your future.

At William Buck, we’re big enough to challenge the Big 4 on the complexity of work, but small enough that you’ll get to work one-on-one with your Directors – they’ll know your name, celebrate your birthday, and take a keen interest in helping you achieve your ambitions and career goals.

Additional benefits that our graduates enjoy are our employee reward and discount program, two days of CSR leave, lunchtime netball and futsal, monthly massage day, breakfast club, and regular social events.

What does a Graduate position at William Buck look like?

  • A permanent position within the division you are offered.
  • A comprehensive L&D program consisting of both structured training sessions and on-the-job training, supported from day 1 by your dedicated buddy.
  • Exposure across a diverse range of clients and industries
  • Regular social events, volunteering, and networking opportunities.
  • Connecting with peers from across Australia & NZ at “Grad College”.

Progression beyond your Graduate year.

  • After 12 months you will be promoted to an Intermediate Accountant.
  • You will be supported through the Chartered Accountants (CA) Program both financially and through technical training sessions, mentorship, study resources, peer workgroups, and up to 3 days study leave per module.

We are seeking an Accounting Graduate to join our Restructuring & Insolvency division, commencing in February 2025.
Our Restructuring & Insolvency team bring their expertise to assist in times of financial distress and achieve the best outcome for all stakeholders. Although insolvency or bankruptcy may be inevitable in some situations, many businesses are able to trade out of hardship and prosper. As an R&I Specialist, you will consider our clients specific operational and strategic issues and draw on advice from other divisions to provide solutions.

What do you need to be successful?

  • The mindset to treat each day as a learning opportunity.
  • A passion for client services and relationship building.
  • A willingness to have a go and give it your best.
  • You will be a final year undergraduate student, or recent graduate, with a major in Accounting (or a major in a related field and a keen interest in pursuing a career in Restructuring & Insolvency).

What happens next?

  1. Apply: Fill out the online application, attaching your resume and academic transcript.
  2. Video Interview with an HR representative & Online Assessment.
  3. Face-to-face Interview: You will be invited to interview with a Director and Manager.
  4. Offer: You become part of the William Buck team!

No two businesses are the same and furthermore, no two days are the same. I am constantly learning about new businesses and industries and learning both technical and professional skills along the way.

At William Buck, I have had the opportunity to work on a large range of clients, all of them different. No self-managed super fund is the same, and each comes with its own unique qualities and challenges that need overcoming.
