I am fortunate enough to always be involved and hands on with work which allows me to develop my skills, learn from my colleagues and genuinely contribute to support both the business and its employees in a meaningful way.
Every project I’ve been involved in helped me learn a new skill, alongside using problem solving techniques to determine the best tools/processes/framework to complete my tasks.
A common saying in the corporate world is “It’s not what you know, but who you know”. Use your time as a grad (and beyond!) to network with people and create your personal brand, you never know when a relationship may prove advantageous.
I would recommend the DSS Graduate Programme to students from all disciplines. You will get an opportunity to work on projects that are truly meaningful, projects that directly affect the wellbeing of citizens of Australia.
