Culture at Worley

8.2 rating for Culture, based on 29 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
In the office, the layout of the office enables chats and workplace banter. After-hours, there are social drinks which encourages people to network and form meaningful friendships. Overall, flat hierarchy. High level of cooperation and teamwork.

Very welcoming and helpful. There are no boundaries between senior and junior engineers in the company. If someone has a question, they could always go and ask the CEO. Absolutely fantastic collaborative and welcoming environment.

Worley has a good culture. A lot of the culture is driven by discipline and project. Each project has its own team, which is run like a normal EPC/EPCM company. The disciplines are managed by a chief. The disciplines work closely together and help each other even if on different projects. Socialising is encouraged as it builds relationships and necessary networks

In the office, everyone is pretty focused on work at their seat. Kitchen is a great place to meet new people. We also have a social club who will organise social events every month. We are always welcomed to ask people for help on the job. And we are allowed to work from home if needed as long as we discuss with the manager beforehand.

Teamwork and communication are very important, the company has a good culture from my point of view as a new starter as I have felt welcomed and supported by the other employees.

The office culture is casual. Flexible work hours are encouraged, with many offices doing half day Fridays. Fridays are usually a casual day in which most people dress down from the normal attire. Many project teams go out for drinks or dinners frequently. The graduates are usually incredibly social with each other and have a strong culture of their own.

good people around me but in terms of age, there is a huge gap between grads and just engineers.
Graduate, Brisbane - 10 Mar 2020
Since starting my grad position, I realised that my colleagues (especially the ones sitting around me) are the people I spend the most time with on a daily basis. So, it was definitely essential that we all got along. Being the only female in my department, I expected some form of gap due to the gender as well as age, but I have only received positive outcomes from everyone. I have formed friendships with the people I work with and I get to learn so much from them due to their many years of experience in the industry.

Good workplace culture. I feel that I can approach anyone in the office with a question and be received without judgement. Friday drinks happen every week and there is always a good turnout!
